Scholarship Program

The Storm strives to provide an opportunity for every child who wants to play hockey.  We  are pleased to offer full and partial scholarships for tuition assistance based on available funds for the 2017-18 season. All players who meet the eligibility requirements to play for the Storm are eligible for assistance. Applicants must be in good standing with no balance owed from the prior year's tuition bill.

The scholarship committee, consisting of the Board of Directors President, Vice President and Treasurer, will review all applications and determine grants based on eligibility, the total number of applicants, the amount of funds available and other factors considered relevant by the committee. The committee reserves the right to request additional information at the time the scholarship is being considered. Scholarships are considered and granted based on the following criteria:

  • Availability of funds
  • Financial need of parents and child applicant
  • Special personal circumstances
  • Number of years with the association

The value of these scholarships is dependent on the number of applicants and the level of need.  They are intended for and will be awarded to those families who need them most.

Scholarship recipients and their parents/guardians are required to assist with fundraising activities. It is with sincere and utmost respect that we request that your family/player sell an additional book of raffle tickets ($100 for a full scholarship and $50 for a partial scholarship) to help offset the cost of participation. These extra tickets will be distributed to you confidentially.

Applications MUST be received no later than Sunday, October 1 (for Midgets, August 15), 2017 to be considered for the 2017 - 18 season. Your application will be kept confidential and your privacy treated with complete respect.

Please contact Joe LaChance at or Nicole Talbot at if you would like more information.
