MCSA Bylaws (2015)

Below are the updated MCSA Bylaws. Several changes were approved at the April 15, 2015 annual meeting and have been updated in the document.


MCSA Travel Teams Announced for 2015-16

The Peewee and Bantam Tier III team rosters for the 2015-16 season have been posted (click on the PDF attachments). Players are asked to respond to Dave Daniello at dave.daniello@gmail.com to accept or decline the offer to play. All Tier III candidates have until Monday, March 23rd to accept the offer to play on their respective Tier III team. If a player declines the offer or fails to respond by March 23rd, they will forfeit their roster spot and it will be offered to the next appropriate player.

A non-refundable down-payment of $150 must be received by Monday, April 6th, along with the signed player contract (provided after a verbal commitment has been made) to reserve a roster spot on the Tier III team. If payment is not received by April 6th, the player will forfeit their roster spot and it will be offered to the next appropriate player. Payment will be accepted by check only and must be made out to MCSA and mailed to:

​Squirt Level: ​​The squirt level will play a Tier 4 schedule next season. The number of returning players will determine if we have one or two equally divided teams at this age group in the fall. An extended play option may also be available if there is enough interest from players and coaches.

MCSA Midget Teams and Midget Tryouts Announced for the 2015 Fall Midget Season

Tryouts for the MCSA Tier II Midget Major Team (U18) and the MCSA Midget Development Team will be held on Wednesday, March 18th for the 2015 Fall Midget Season. Players should plan to attend the tryout session but if you have any conflicts please contact John Magri before the tryout date.

Please complete the MCSA Tryout Application and bring it with you, along with the non-refundable payment of $20 (made payable to MCSA). 

Important Information:

  • Any player who owes tuition payments or fees (partial or full) to MCSA will be ineligible to participate in the spring tryout until past due tuition/fees are paid in full.
     
  •   ​​Final roster sizes and team alignments will be determined after tryouts. If you are unable to attend the tryout, please contact John Magri immediately!

Dates & Details:

  • Tier II Midget Major (U18) tryouts – March 18th at 7:00 PM (Birth year 1997-2000)
     
  • Midget Development Team tryouts – March 18th at 7:00 PM (Birth year 1997-2001)
     

Program Highlights:

MCSA Tier II Midget Major (U18) Team

  • Competes in the MEAH Tier II National Bound Midget Major (U18) League
  • 1997’s, 1998’s, 1999’s, and 2000’s eligible for roster spots on team
  • Season begins on Friday August 28th and is Completed by Sunday November 14th *
  • Preseason Tournament 2015 Midget Major Doritos Cup* 
  • 8 League Home Games at the Midcoast Recreation Center located in Rockport, Maine*
  • 8 League Away Games*
  • 20 Practices located at the Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport, Maine.
  • May qualify for MEAHA Tier II National Bound Midget Major (U18) State Tournament based on final standings.

MCSA Midget Development Team

  • 1997’s, 1998’s, 1999’s, 2000’s, and 2001’s eligible for roster spots on team
  • Season begins on Friday August 28th and is Completed by Sunday November 14th.
  • 6 Exhibition Home Games at the Midcoast Recreation Center located in Rockport, Maine*
  • 1 to 6 (TBD) Exhibition Away Games*
  •  20 Practices located at the Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport, Maine*

*Tournament Registrations, League Schedules, Game Schedules, and Practice Schedules subject to confirmation.

The Maine Coast Skaters Association offers Youth (Boys & Girls) and Adult ice hockey programs which begin in late September and run through the end of March.   We hope you consider joining our community for both recreational and competitive ice hockey.
